Transform Lives with the School on a Bus Programme 

In the blessed month of Ramadan, a time of reflection, giving, and closeness to Allah, we invite you to partake in a profound act of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The best charity is that given in Ramadan." (Tirmidhi). This Ramadan, seize the opportunity to create a lasting impact in the lives of refugee children in Lebanon, many of whom are Syrian, through our innovative "School on a Bus" initiative.

The Plight: Over 20 million children in conflict zones are deprived of education, with Lebanon hosting the most significant number of refugee children due to the Syrian crisis. More than half of these young souls in Lebanon, aged 3-18, have never experienced the joy of learning, let alone attending school.

Our Solution: The READ Foundation's "School on a Bus" programme emerges as a beacon of hope amidst this crisis. Our mobile classroom buses travel between refugee camps in Beqaa, Lebanon, offering over 300 children aged 6-14 a chance at primary education each month. This initiative provides quality education and psychosocial support, nurturing these children in a safe environment.

How You Can Help: A contribution of £600 or a monthly instalment of £50 can support a child's education for an entire year. Remember, "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." (Tirmidhi).

Empower Through Our Special Needs Education Hub

In line with the teachings of Islam, where there is a strong emphasis on inclusivity and providing for those in need, our Special Needs Education Hub is dedicated to children with disabilities. These children face the challenges of displacement and the struggle for acceptance and equal access to education and resources.

Our Mission: To create a nurturing space where children with special needs can gain knowledge, skills, and the confidence to stand tall within their communities. Through specialized education and support, we aim to empower them towards formal education or vocational training.

How You Can Help: With an annual payment of £240 or a monthly instalment of £20, you can ensure a child with special needs receives the education and support they deserve.
