Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Baraktuhu
Our dearly beloved Faysal Emtyaz left this dunya on the 18th of September 2024. He was 26 years-old.
We want to honour his memory by providing a poor and vulnerable community in Tanzania with a mosque, giving them the chance to express their faith, experience the education that the Qur'an and Hadith provide to benefit us in this life and the next, and to be a focal point of bringing a community together. It will be a permanent and lasting legacy in his honour.
Faysal was a son, a grandson, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin and a friend. He touched so many people's lives through his actions, his caring nature and clean heart. May Allah swt grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
Remembering him fondly is not enough. Saddened as we are by his departure from this world, we know that he has returned to His Creator at his appointed time.
We want to remember him not just with our words and memories but by helping our brothers and sisters in the Ummah. Providing a masjid in Faysal's memory is Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), which will be a reward for him in the next life and immeasurably benefit those who will use this House of Allah.
For those who give to this honourable cause, may the Almighty also bless and reward you for your sacrifices. Ameen.
By donating, not only will you be providing a place of worship and the centre of a community but laying foundations for your own spiritual rewards in this life and the next.
One of the first acts of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) after he migrated from Makkah to Madinah was to build a masjid.
He said: “Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Hadith)
We have chosen Islamic Help to deliver this project. It already constructs dozens of masjids every year in poor and impoverished rural areas of Tanzania where villages either have no place for worship or have to rely on structures made of mud and sticks, or are crumbling to the ground.
They are distinctive, permanent structures designed to last generations and with all the essential features including, toilets, ablution facilities and water sources. A medium-sized mosque can hold approx. 250 worshippers.
Islamic Help is a UK-registered charity with the Charity Commission of England & Wales. They will ensure that feedback is provided once the project is complete, feedback that we will share with those who have donated to show them where their amanah (trust) has been used.
As well as this masjid, we also intend to complete another masjid project that was started by Faysal and his brother, Yasir, nearly 2 years in honour of their beloved maternal grandmother, Bebe.
As we hope you will honour Faysal with the legacy of a masjid, he wanted the same for her - demonstrating his strength of faith, love and humanity.
If we can reach the target that Faysal had set for that project - also to be delivered by Islamic Help - then, Alhamdulillah, the blessings and rewards from the Almighty will be increased without measure.
Please note: Feedback will be provided by Islamic Help when the projects are complete and will be shared through various channels with those who have donated .
Also, any funds that are donated in excess of the target that we have set will be used for other similar Sadaqah Jariyah projects where the benefits and spiritual rewards will be ongoing. And, again, we will provide updates and feedback to donors.
Please feel free to share as widely as possible and donate to help us reach our goals. May Allah accept from all of us. Ameen.

New Mosque Built: Masjid Faysal Emtyaz
Pray this finds you all in good health and firm imaan.
Alhamdulillah, Masjid Faysal Emtyaz was inaugurated on Thursday 20th February 2025.
After the local villagers – men, women and children - who had gathered for the ceremony collectively read Surah Fatiha, the first azan was called out for Asar salah, and followed by duas for Faysal, for his family and friends, for the donors who had made this masjid possible, for the local community who would be using it, and for the Ummah.
The mosque is in the village of Muhimbili II, in the Kigamboni district of Dar es Salaam region in Tanzania.
It serves a community that is poor and impoverished, yet steadfast in its faith. The building can hold 250 worshippers – men and women – and there are plans for 250 children to be taught the Qur’an there, Insha’Allah.
While the structure is complete, we intend to provide further developments with carpets, a sound system, electric fans, and as many copies of the Qur’an and qaidas (Arabic learning books) for the children as we possibly can.
We will continue to share feedback images and videos through any channels that we can.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept your sacrifices and amanah, and may the Almighty bless and reward each and every one who has given so generously to establish this legacy. No matter what you have given, may you be rewarded eternally. Ameen.
Update: Masjid Faysal order placed for Tanzania
Assalamu Alaikum
Pray this finds you all in good health and firm imaan.
First of all, we - Faysal's family, relatives and friends - want to extend our humble thanks and duas for everyone who has donated to this appeal.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept your sacrifices and amanah, and may the Almighty bless and reward each and every one who has given so generously to establish this legacy. No matter what you have given, may you be rewarded eternally. Ameen.
Even one pence given as sadaqah jariyah can bring untold blessings to benefit in this life and the next.
UPDATE: The order for the masjid, Masjid Faysal, has been sent through by Islamic Help to its Tanzania office. We expect construction to start shortly and Insha'Allah completion should be before Ramadan.
We will share images and videos that the charity provides through whatever channels are available.
Also, there are enough funds from this and another separate appeal to allow us to complete the appeal that Faysal and his brother Yasir started for a masjid in honour of their beloved maternal grandmother, Bebe, who passed away just over 2 years ago. Insha'Allah, that will be built in Pakistan and, again, we will provide whatever feedback we can.
Our humble request - please keep donating to this appeal. Whatever funds come in will go towards other sadaqah jariyah projects to honour and remember Faysal.
May Allah swt make it easy for him in the next life and may the Almighty grant him a place among the highest ranks in Jannat ul Firdous. Ameen.
Many thanks to everyone.
